I understand that once registered for the race, it is necessary, although not mandatory, to reach the fundraising goal to validate my registration (€100 for adults and €50 for children and students). Therefore, I declare that I am familiar with the race regulations and agree to them.
The acceptance of any contribution, gift, or grant is at the sole discretion of the OC Foundation. The OC Foundation will not accept any gift unless it can be used or spent in a manner consistent with the purpose and mission of the OC Foundation.
No irrevocable gift, whether total or lifetime, will be accepted if, under any reasonable set of circumstances, the gift would jeopardize the donor's financial security.
The OC Foundation will refrain from providing advice on tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisors to help them in the process of making their donation.
The OC Foundation will accept donations in cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of services in kind will be accepted at the discretion of the OC Foundation.
Certain other gifts, real estate, personal property, gifts in kind, illiquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some way must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations or responsibilities that arise. They may pose for the OC Foundation.
The OC Foundation will provide acknowledgments to donors who meet tax requirements for goods received by the charity as gifts. However, with the exception of cash donations and listed securities, no value will be attributed to any receipt or other form of proof of a donation received by the OC Foundation.
The OC Foundation will respect the donor's wishes regarding donations with a restricted purpose and those concerning the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, the OC Foundation will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members who need to know.
The OC Foundation will not compensate, either through commissions, search fees or other means, any third party for directing a gift or donor to the OC Foundation.
